An Indian celebrity chef, entrepreneur, and television personality Sanjeev Kapoor was born on 10th April 1964 in Ambala, Haryana. He was brought up in several north Indian cities. His father was a banker. He has two siblings – one brother who is a Chartered Accountant and one sister named Namrata. After he concluded his schooling, he embarked on his career in the hospitality industry in 1984 and enrolled himself in the Hotel Management program at the Institute of Hotel Management Catering and Nutrition, Pusa, New Delhi. 

Academically, he was a brilliant student and was always ranked amongst the top 5 during his school time. He opted for Biology as the main subject in Matric and aspired to be a doctor. He accomplished his management trainee program from India Tourism Development Corporation.

Sanjeev Kapoor exchanged the conjugal vows with Alyona Kapoor and the couple is blessed with two beautiful daughters named Kriti and Rachita. His wife is also a part of his joint venture Turmeric Vision Pvt. Ltd. 

Sanjeev loves travelling and Noma in Copenhagen and Denmark are amongst his favourite destination. His all-time favourite food is Pani Puri and Bengali Sandesh. Amitabh Bachchan tops the list of his favourite actors. His most-liked spices include cumin, clove, pepper and, cardamom.
