An Indian film lyricist, writer and director, Aditya Dhar celebrated his 37th birthday this year. He has worked widely in Indian Hindi cinema and directed the super hit movies like Uri: The Surgical Strike and Daddy Cool. His natal day falls on 12th March 1983. He hails from Hindu family and was born in New Delhi, India. He did his primary education from a private school and completed his graduation from Delhi University.

Vicky Kaushal was honoured with the National Award for Best Actor for his work in Uri: The Surgical Strike in 2019 and shared his accolade with Ayushman Khurana for Andhadhun (2018). Aditya Dhar also earned the National Award in the best director category.
Aditya revealed his interest in the Army by making movie URI: The Surgical Strike. Earlier, he was working on a movie titled Raat Baaki in which he was supposed to cast a Pakistani actor Fawad Khan with Katrina Kaif. But it was shelved due to the Uri attacks because the militants breathed fire in an Indian Army base in Kashmir. Pakistani artists were outlawed to work in India. Besides basking in these announcements, Dhar chose to concentrate on the current scenario and began his research on how the army pulled this act off.
His inclination towards army since childhood forced him to fulfil his aspirations. He, as a Kashmiri Pandit, is also the pigeon of terrorism. When he got to know about the strikes, he eventually executed the entire Surgical Strike which took place on 29th September. This turned out to be the best surreptitious military exercises ever administered by India.
He mined the information from various journalist friends, newspaper articles, retired army officers and other public domains. He revealed that some information about the operational parts are authentic but he could not do justice with each and every character due to the time constraint.
