Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) released the list of its candidates for all 70 constituencies in Delhi for the upcoming assembly elections 2020.

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will once again contest from New Delhi from where he had defeated his predecessor Sheila Dikshit the last time around. Deputy CM Manish Sisodia will contest from Patparganj constituency.  

AAP leaders in Delhi visited the residence of Arvind Kejriwal for a meeting regarding Delhi elections to be held on February 8, 2020. The party gave a ticket to Vinay Kumar Mishra, the son of Purvanchali heavyweight Mahabal Mishra, from Dwarka, Parlad Singh Sahni from Chandni Chowk, Dipu Chaudhary from Gandhi Nagar and Raghav Chaddha got a ticket from Rajindra Nagar.

Sitting MLAs have also been dropped in Kondli, Timarpur, Badarpur and Hari Nagar, while changes were also made in Bijwasan, Chandni Chowk, Karawal Nagar, Rajouri Garden and Gandhi Nagar.

The AAP on Twitter wrote, “Aam Aadmi Party declares all 70 candidates for the upcoming Delhi election. We congratulate all the candidates and wish them all the best to establish high levels of trust and integrity within their constituency.”

This time, there are eight women to contest the Delhi Assembly election. Besides, six new names were given on vacant seats and 15 seats were changed.
