The popular Indian film actress, Aindrita Ray celebrated her 35th birthday this year on April 16. Aindrita made her debut in 2007 with the film Meravanige and later appeared in several commercially successful films in Kannada. She is best known for her critically acclaimed performance as Devika, a mentally challenged girl, in the film Manasaare (2009). Aindrita will be next seen alongside Siddharth Mahesh, Srinagar Kitty and Ashika Ranganath in Dhankumar K’s upcoming action film Garuda.

Aindrita Ray Biography

Aindrita Ray was born on April 16, 1985, into a Bengali family in Udaipur, Rajasthan to AK Ray and Sunita Ray. Aindrita attended Baldwin Girls High School in Bangalore and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Dental Science from B. R. Ambedkar Dental College in Bangalore. During her college days, she also did modelling and appeared in television commercials. Her appearance in some popular TV commercials opened her offers in the film industry. She started her acting career by appearing in Kannada films, and in short films as well.

Aindrita was professionally trained under fashion choreographer M. S. Sreedhar. She was first seen in a song in the 2006 Kannada movie Jackpot alongside Harsha and Dhyaan. She made her acting debut in Mahesh Babu’s 2008 film Meravanige in which she played the role of ‘Nandini’, opposite Prajwal Devaraj. Aindrita received critical appreciation for her acting and dance performance in the film that was a moderate success at the box office. In the same year, she made a cameo appearance in R. Aindrita is married to actor Diganth Manchale since 2018. Aindrita and Diganth have appeared together in films like Mast Maja Maadi (2008), Manasaare (2009), Parijatha (2012), Sharpshooter (2015) and Chowka (2017). Aindrita spent her childhood in Rajasthan and later moved to Mumbai. As her father, A. K. Ray, was a prosthodontist in the Indian Air Force, her family moved from one place to another and finally settled in Bangalore.
