Sri Divya, the popular actress in Tamil and Telugu films, celebrated her 27th birthday on 1st April this year.

She will be next seen alongside Atharvaa in Barnesh’s upcoming Tamil action-drama film Othaikku Othai. The film produced by D. Dinesh Karthick also stars Narain, Chandhana and Vidya Pradeep in pivotal roles. The film’s shooting was completed by February 2020 in Salem and is expected to be released by the end of this year.

Sri Divya Biography

Sri Divya was born on 1 April 1993 in Hyderabad, India. She has an elder sister Sri Ramya who also acts in Tamil and Telugu films. Sri Divya attended Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 1 Golconda in Hyderabad, Telangana and graduated from SRM University in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. She made her acting debut as a child artist in 2000 in M. Raja’s Telugu action comedy film Hanuman Junction starring Arjun, Jagapathi Babu, Venu Thottempudi, Laya, Sneha in the lead roles. In the same year, she played the child role of ‘Kalpana’ in Y. V. S. Chowdary’s Telugu romantic drama film Yuvaraju starring Mahesh Babu, Simran and Sakshi Shivanand. In 2003, she made her last child appeared as herself in Ravi Raja Pinisetty’s Telugu action film Veedu stars Ravi Teja, Arti Agarwal, Reema Sen, and Sayaji Shinde.

Her debut in a lead role was in 2010 with Ravi Babu’s Telugu romance film Manasara set against the backdrop of Kalaripayattu, a martial art form that has origins in Kerala. In 2012, she appeared in the role of ‘Sailaja’ in Maruthi Dasari’s Telugu film Bus Stop starring opposite Prince Cecil. She was next seen in the role of ‘Lakshmi’ in GV Rama Raju’s 2013 Telugu film Mallela Theeram Lo Sirimalle Puvvu alongside Kranthi and Jorge in lead roles.

In the same year, she made her debut in Tamil film through Ponram’s romantic comedy film Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam starring alongside Sivakarthikeyan and Sathyaraj. The film earned approximately ₹35.5 million on its first day which was the highest opening in Sivakarthikeyan’s career at the time of its release. In 2014, she appeared in Suseenthiran’s sports drama film Jeeva produced by Arya under his production house, The Show People.
