Former Bollywood actress Namrata Shirodkar celebrated her 48th birthday on 22 January 2020. Her husband Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu shared a photo of her on social media to wish her lovely wife. He wrote, “Wishing the woman of the house, the woman in my life the Happiest Birthday!!! Just love and more love Namrata (sic)”
Mahesh and Namrata are one of the strongest couples in Tollywood. Even after so many years of being married to each other, the couple’s love for each other has only grown stronger.
Namrata Shirodkar Biography
Namrata Shirodkar was born on 22 January 1972. She is a former model, actress and producer who has worked in many Bollywood films. In 1993, she was honoured with the Femina Miss India Award. She represented India in the Miss Universe pageant and made it to top six. The same year, she also represented India in the Miss Asia Pacific contest and was chosen as first runner-up.
Namrata married Telugu actor Mahesh Babu. The couple met on the set of their film ‘Vasmi’ in 2000 and started dating shortly after. They tied the knot in February 2005.
The couple has two children—son Gautam Krishna Gattamaneni and daughter Sitara. Besides, Namrata is the younger sister of Bollywood actress Shilpa Shirodkar. She is the granddaughter of famous Marathi actress Meenakshi Shirodkar, who also appeared in Hindi film Brahmachari.
Namrata made her acting debut with a small role in the film ‘Jab Pyaar Kisise Hota Hai’ in 1998 along with Salman Khan and Twinkle Khanna. Her first film was ‘Purab Ki Laila Paschim Ka Chhaila’ with Akshay Kumar and Suniel Shetty which was never released. The film was completed after she took retirement from the Hindi films. The title of the movie was changed to ‘Hello India’ but the film has not released yet.

Namrata’s film Bride and Prejudice, released in 2004, was a hit abroad, mainly in the UK.
