The veteran actress and politician, Jaya Bachchan celebrated her 72nd birthday on April 9 this year. Since she is not on any social media platform, her husband and superstar of the Millennium Amitabh Bachchan thanked fans and well-wishers on her behalf.
He posted a beautiful photo with her on Twitter, and wrote, “To them that have wished Jaya on her birthday today, my gratitude and love…thank you for remembering her… it will be impossible to respond to each of you individually, hence this…love…dhanyawad aur aabhaar…she has been given your wishes and she sends her thanks.
Jaya Bachchan Biography
Jaya Bachchan (Bhaduri) was born on 9 April 1948 to the famous author and poet, Taroon Kumar Bhaduri. She is the Member of Parliament in Rajya Sabha from the Samajwadi Party since 2004. She was one of the finest actresses of her time who made her debut in her teenage with Satyajit Ray’s film ‘Mahanagar’ in 1963. Her first film as an adult was Guddi, which was released in 1971. The film was directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee, with whom she worked in several films. She first appeared with her future husband Amitabh Bachchan in the film Bansi Birju (1972), and then Ek Nazar in the same year. Unfortunately, Amitabh was going through a tough time as an actor during that time. When many lead actresses refused to work with him in the film Zanjeer in 1973 then Jaya stepped into the film. The film turned out to be a big hit and gave a new height to Amitabh Bachchan’s film career. Jaya married actor Amitabh Bachchan on 3 June 1973. The couple was soon blessed with two children—Shweta Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan. Shweta is married to industrialist Nikhil Nanda, grandson of the Kapoor family. The couple lives in Delhi and has two children, Navya Naveli and Agastya Nanda.
Abhishek Bachchan is an actor and married to actress and former Miss World Aishwarya Rai. They have a beautiful daughter whom they have named Aaradhya.
