Hailing from an Indian-Parsi family, Tanaaz was born in Mumbai, then Bombay, Maharashtra in 1972. Since childhood, she dreamt of becoming an actress and succeeded in making her dreams come true. She went to The Cathedral and John Connon School for her initial schooling and later to The Alexandra Girl’s English Institution, Mumbai for high school. She accomplished her graduation from H.R. Tanaaz got married to Farid Currim, a stage artist at a very early age of 20 with whom she had a daughter Zianne. After some time, she separated with Farid and was determined to pursue her career in acting. She happened to meet Bakhtiyaar Irani (Delnaaz Paul’s brother) at the sets of Fame Gurukul and both of them became enamoured. They decided to exchange the nuptial vows but Bakhtiyar’s family was not happy with their relationship as Tanaaz is 8 years older than Bakhtiyaar. Despite all this, Delnaaz and his brother Paurus Irani aided them to persuade their parents and the deuce got married in 2007. On 20th March 2008, they became the parents of their first baby boy who was named Zeus after the Greek God. On 19th September 2011, the couple was blessed with a baby girl named Zara Irani. However, her daughter Zianne lives with her ex-husband Farid Currim.
Her hobby is dancing and she together with her husband Bakhtiyaar obtained the third position in the dance reality show ‘Nach Baliye’ season 2 in 2006.
