Hirdesh Singh, the Indian music composer, rapper, pop singer and film actor, popularly known by his professional name, Yo Yo Honey Singh or Honey Singh celebrated his 37th birthday on 15 March 2020.
One of his recent releases was the single ‘Loca’ which released on 3rd March 2020 by T-Series on YouTube. The Latin American beat song starring Yo Yo Honey Singh and Nickky Pickky was shot in Dubai and is one of the most expensive music videos in India.

Honey Singh was born on 15 March 1983 at Hoshiarpur in Punjab to a Sikh family. His family later moved to Delhi. He attended the Guru Nanak Public School in Punjab Bagh, New Delhi and later moved to the UK where he studied music at the Trinity School of Music. Singh started his music career as a session and recording artist and later established himself as a Bhangra music producer. He eventually got success from his independent music productions and started making songs for Bollywood films.

Honey Singh has started his career by directing the album ‘Peshi’ featuring Bill Singh in 2005, though he came to the limelight with the releasing of his 2011 album International Villager consisting of 14 tracks. In February 2015 he released the popular song “Birthday Bash”, in the film Dilliwali Zaalim Girlfriend which was followed by songs in films including Gabbar is Back and Bhaag Johnny. In the same year, he also released the song “Dheere Dheere” featuring Hrithik Roshan and Sonam Kapoor. The song which was released by T-Series on Youtube number one in popularity in YouTube India, crossing 5 million views in 4 days of release and over 18 million views in a week.

Honey Singh is married to Shalini Talwar, who was his classmate at the Guru Nanak Public School in Punjab Bagh, New Delhi. Honey Singh is currently one of the highest-paid artists in the Indian music industry. A song that Singh made for the 2004 film Mastan was charged 7 million, which made Singh one of the highest-paid musical artists in Bollywood. He took a gap from his music career at the end of 2014 as he was suffering from a bipolar disorder. He made his comeback in December 2018 with a new song called “Makhna” a hit single he sang along with Neha Kakkar and was released by T-Series on Youtube. In the same year, he composed and sung songs in films like Baazaar and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety.
