Kavita Kaushik Biography
An Indian television actress, Kavita Kaushik widely recognised for her portrayal as Chandramukhi Chautala on SAB TV sitcom F.I.R. which gave her a household name. She belongs to a white-collar class family and was born in the house of Dinesh Chandra Kaushik, a former CRPF Officer in Delhi. She did her primary education from All Saint’s School, Nainital, Uttarakhand and finished her Bachelors in Philosophy from Indraprastha College for Women, Delhi. When she was in college, she began modelling, anchoring and presenting the events. Her nickname is Mitthu and her leisure interest includes Cooking, Dancing, Travelling and Trekking. Her preferred cuisine is Chinese and she loves eating Grilled Basa, Hot Garlic, Burger, Hot Dog, Pizza and Sandwich. Cranberry Juice is one of her most-liked juice amongst all others.
Earlier, this performing artist was dating Karan V Grover who is an actor and participated jointly in celebrity couples dance reality show Nach Baliye 3. Later they parted ways. She also went around with Nawab Shah for some time and then got hitched to her old connection Ronnit Biswas. On January 27, 2017, they tied the knot and are living a happy married life now.
Sakshi Kanwar is her close pal as both of them are more than sisters for each other. Hemant Birje was his first childhood crush.

Kavita Kaushik Personal Life
Kavita Kaushik was an ex-participant of dance reality show Nach Baliye and also participated in the eighth season of ‘Jhalak Dikhla Jaa’. She has acted as a principal character in Sab TV’s Dr Bhanumati On Duty.
Kavita moved to Mumbai and made her first performance on television screen with the role of Monica Malhotra in Kutumb in 2001. After finishing the melodrama ‘Kutumb’, she started playing the role of Manya Doshi in ‘Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki’. She is a well-known face of the television industry who enacted the role of Naina Kulkarni in the afternoon daily ‘Kumkum – Ek Pyara Sa Bandhan’ and in ‘Piya Ka Ghar’. She portrayed the role of Pallavi in ‘Remix’, a small role in ‘Tumhari Disha’ and C.I.D. as sub-inspector Anushka.
Let’s take a look at her short Bollywood journey where she first performed in 2004 movie ‘Ek Hasina Thi’ enacting Saif Ali Khan’s girlfriend. Kaushik has portrayed small roles in the movies besides her various television roles like Philium City and Mumbai Cutting. She has also performed on an item number Shakila Bano in the remodels of Apoorva Lakhia’s Zanjeer in 2013. She was also seen in Anirudh Chautala directorial movie named ‘Lollipop since 1947’. It was a political parody in a lower-middle-class household in which Kaushik played Deepak Dobriyal’s wife role. Kavita has also given her first onscreen appearance in the Punjabi film industry with the film Vekh Baraatan Challiyan. She played the role of Gagan in Punjabi movie Vadhayiyaan Ji Vadhayiyaan (2018), Amrit Kaur in Nankana (2018) and Mindo in Mindo Taseeldarni (2019).
Looking at her tall, bold and appealing personality, Kavita was initially being offered negative roles. Getting the role of Chandramukhi Chautala in F.I.R. in 2006 was the turning point in her life. Her escalating performances put a break on her negative roles. She was a blustery female police officer who spoke in a Haryanavi accent and made her a prominent face of the television industry.
Despite huge success of the show, Kavita quit F.I.R. in 2013 to work in another SAB TV sitcom ‘Tota Weds Maina’. In 2015, she performed in Jhalak Dikhla Jaa and later presented a programme ‘Fakebook With Kavita’. She was also invited to participate in Bigg Boss but she refused. While she was offered a principal role in Dr Bhanumati On Duty in 2016, she left the show and was replaced by Debolina Bannerjee.
Kavita has been honoured with various accolades for her outstanding performance in super hit T.V. show F.I.R. In 2010, she was conferred with 3rd Boroplus Gold Awards for Best Comic Actress, 10th Indian Telly Awards for Best Actress in a Comic Role and Indian Television Academy Awards for Best Actress – Comedy as Inspector Chandramukhi Chautala in F.I.R. She received 4th Boroplus Gold Awards and Indian Television Academy Awards in 2011, 11th Indian Telly Awards, Sab Ke Anokhe Awards and 5th Boroplus Gold Awards in 2012 and Sab Ke Anokhe Awards in 2013.
